How Does Global Resorts Network Differ From a Timeshare?

If you have had any experience traveling in the past you have certainly come upon the concept of timeshares. Timeshares gave people the opportunity to enjoy a resort vacation at a favorite location, and by paying monthly, by the time your week came up on the calandar, your vacation was virtually paid for. While that has its advantages, it also had disadvantages. Extra fees could add up pretty quickly, and at the end of the day, most people actually paid more for their vacations than they would have if they simply booked a holiday at a resort on their own.

GRN came on the scenes a few years back. And, because Global Resorts had the reputation of tapping into "unused" timeshare weeks, some people felt GRN was a timeshare itself. That being said, GRN is not a timeshare in any sense of the word. Global Resorts Network has been in the travel business for many years.

It has developed relationships with resort properties around the world. Because of this relationship, GRN has been able to offer its members very special prices for week long vacations in very enticing locations. Some of these weeks are actually timeshare properties who have extra inventory and are looking to fill certain weeks of the year. Others are simply properties that Global Resorts works with year round.

This all translates into massive savings for GRN's membership. How does GRN stack up against a typical timeshare? GRN offers a lifetime platinum membership for a one time fee of $3,000. There are no other hidden fees associated with it. So in essence the sign up fee is the only fee you will pay for the actual hotel accomadations. Timeshares have different payment options available. Most people opt to pay over a longer period of time, which also includes additional "timeshare" fees. Depending on the location of your timeshare, the total fees paid can vary considerably, but typically are much higher than a Global Resorts membership.

Timeshares typically have very specific weeks available at a specific location. GRN does not have any blackout dates, so you choose the weeks you want to vacation. You simply look at the company registry which will list the availability of properties around the world, including amenities, pricing and just about everything you would want to ask about.

Timeshares offer you a specific number of weeks to vacation. With GRN you can vacation as often as you like. There are even guest passes so your friends and relatives can utilize your membership as the need arises.

Global Resorts Network differs from timeshares in another significant way. GRN has a referral program which rewards its members handsomely for referring other members to the company. Tiimeshares do not offer this same program for its members.

These are just some of the differences between a typical timeshare and Global Resorts Network. For further information about GRN be sure to follow the link in the resource box below.
